The Sky's The Limit...

We're on our way to Louisiana for softball Nationals! Sitting here enjoying the beautiful sunny Texas sky got me thinking...THE SKY'S THE LIMIT! We were put on this Earth to be so much more. Some are pushing their limits and living the life God meant for them while others just cruise by always wishing they had more. More what?! Whatever your heart desires...

We just passed a truck that said "Stay Focused or Fold"...so true! Isn't it amazing how little things pop up in your daily life that are trying to remind you of what you should be doing. God works in mysterious ways (and as I type that the clouds parted and the sun is shining down on me!)

Let's all life our lives to the fullest!

Hydration

Hydration is a VERY important thing whether you play sports, workout, and even if you maintain an inactive lifestyle.

I have experienced the affects of not being properly hydrated with my own workouts in the last 2 weeks. Doing TurboFire after a day of not drinking enough H2O is no bueno! I started getting side pains which made it difficult to perform at the level I wanted. I hated it!

This brings me to another point, kids and adults who play sports. The coaches are always telling them to hydrate WAY before they practice or play a game. You can definitely tell when someone hasn't hydrated well - their playing abilities aren't up to par. AND you didn't spend all your time practicing to give it up in a game because you didn't drink your H2O.

And even if you live an inactive lifestyle, your body still needs enough water to maintain its current levels. You will feel hungry, moody, possibly get headaches, and your metabolism will decline.

So EVERYONE needs water. Try to lay off the sodas and sugary drinks.

Here's to our health...CHEERS!

Feeling Like A Hefer...

Ugh...I just got finished with my "lunch" and it's 3pm. Yeah, I know! I started the day good, but felt hungry too quickly after my snack at 9:45am. I also had planned on eating both the brown rice mixture and my lunch for 2 days...that didn't work either as I ate both entirely.

Here's the breakdown:

7:30a - Overnight Oats with Strawberries and Peaches

9:45a - 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/4 cup bran flakes, pineapple

11:30a - mixture of brown rice, corn, peas, pineapple salsa, 1 laughing cow cheese wedge / 1 homemade cookie (BOO! to you Stephanie for not being able to control yourself for a little bit longer)

2:30p - leftover pasta with cheese and spinach (there was a lot)

Getting Ridiculous...

I can't believe that I couldn't go 3 whole days without eating something sweet. GEEZ! I ate a bag of cookies at lunch and had a Diet Dr. Pepper. TERRIBLE, I know...

So it made me think to start tracking how long I can go without them. They are my drug and I want to seriously give them up. They don't do anything for me except me feel guilty and make more fat on my body - neither of which I'm happy about!

So I will start not only journaling on paper what I eat, but I'll post it here too. I know that I have consistancy problem that I'm working on and this will help me in that area. I also have a discipline problem...otherwise I wouldn't have had those cookies and Diet Dr Pepper.

It's crazy because the cravings just come on so strong that I can actually taste what I'm craving before I've even put it in my mouth. That leads me to going to find what I want and get it. I wonder if drug addicts or alcoholics feel like this when they try to quit and get their cravings....

Well, I'm not going to sit around to find out since I don't do drugs or drink excessively!

So I better start with today's eatings...

7:30a: Overnight Raspberry Vanilla Oats (first time ever having these - super good) / Island Coconut coffee with 2 stevias & almond coconut blend milk unsweetened

10:45a: 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese, pineapple chunks, 1/4 cup of bran flakes, stevia

12:35p: leftover whole grain pasta w/ground beef, garlic pasta sauce, shredded cheese, with 1 cup of spinach / 1 bag of cookies / Diet Dr Pepper

4:15p: Tropical Strawberry Shakeology w/1 can pineapple juice & frozen fruit blend

5:00p: Fire 30 (TurboFire) - burned 315 cals

8:30p: 2 Tilapia filets - grilled, mixture of brown rice, corn, and peas, a little bit of tartar sauce

H2O Consumption: 7
